1. Information PocketWyse Collects Directly

Calculator inputs

When you use a calculator on this site, the values you enter, such as loan amount, interest rate, or down payment, are processed locally in your browser. These values are not transmitted to PocketWyse servers and are not stored by us.

Email address (optional)

If you choose to submit your email address through a form on this site (for example, to receive a free resource), we collect and store that email address for the purpose of delivering the requested content and, with your consent or as disclosed on the signup form, sending educational, promotional, affiliate, sponsored, or marketing communications related to personal finance topics. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every marketing email we send. We use a third-party email service provider to manage and deliver email communications. That provider processes your email address on our behalf and is contractually prohibited from using it for their own marketing purposes.

We will not sell, rent, or share your email address with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

Contact messages

If you contact us by email at contact@pocketwyse.com, we retain your message and email address for the purpose of responding to your inquiry and improving site content. We do not use contact messages for marketing.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Email addresses collected through opt-in forms are retained for as long as you remain subscribed. You may unsubscribe at any time, after which your email address will be removed from our active mailing list within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Contact messages are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and improve site content, and then deleted.

Technical data collected automatically (see Section 2) is retained according to the policies of the relevant third-party service provider.

7. Security

This site uses HTTPS (SSL/TLS) encryption to protect your connection. However, no internet transmission is guaranteed to be 100% secure. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the limited information we handle, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). The legal basis for processing your email address (if provided) is your consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing. The legal basis for displaying advertisements via Google AdSense is legitimate interest and/or consent, depending on your jurisdiction and cookie preferences.

Regardless of your location, you may contact us at any time to request information about what data we hold about you or to request its deletion. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

9A. Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers may send "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because there is currently no universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, PocketWyse may not respond differently when such signals are received.

10. International Users

This site is operated in a U.S. context and primarily uses U.S.-based financial terminology, assumptions, advertising disclosures, and legal concepts.
